Day 1: Arrival in Munich, Germany

We will pick you up at the Munich airport. The first day will be allotted free time for you to relax after your flight. We will meet at the hotel lobby at 3 p.m. to discuss our plans for your vacation.

You will enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant in the evening, and the rest of the evening will be your free time to relax or go out for a casual walk in the historical center of Munich.

Day 2: Dresden, Germany

After breakfast in Munich, you will travel approximately 4 hours to Dresden. You will take a 2-hour walking tour of Dresden with an experienced guide. You will visit the Church of our Lady (Frauenkirche), Brühl Terrace, Zwinger Palace, Semper Opera, Taschenberg Palace, Theatre Square, Castle Square, Royal Palace, Catholic Court Chapel, Mural “Procession of Nobles”, New Marketplace, Augustus Bridge, “Canaletto View”, “Golden Horseman”, Baroque area Hauptstraße and Königstraße, Japanese Palace, Three Magi Church and Pfund’s Dairy (The Guinness Book of Records list as the most beautiful milk shop in the world).

After a day of touring the city, you will have dinner in a local German tavern. Then, after dinner, you will have free time to relax or go out for a casual walk in Dresden's historic center.

Day 3: Leipzig / Halle, Germany

After breakfast, you will travel approximately 1 hour to the city of Leipzig. Leipzig has been home to some of Germany’s best-known artists; Goethe was a student in Leipzig, and Bach worked here as a Cantor. Here, you will have a combined 1-hour walking tour and a 1.5-hour bus tour. While walking through the historical city streets, you will visit the Nikolai Church, St Thomas Church, Mädler Passage with Auerbach’s Cellar, Barthels Hof, and the Old Rathaus. While on the bus, you will see places such as the Stasi Museum Runde Ecke, Leipzig Cotton Mill (once the largest cotton mill in Europe), St Nicolas Church, and the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (a 90-meter high Monument of the Battle of the Nation).

You will then travel 35 minutes to the city of Halle. You will visit the Market Square, where you can see the Church of St. Mary, the Roter Turm (Red Tower), Roland, the Stadthaus, Händel House, the Halle Opera House, and then the Halloren Chocolate Museum (The Halloren Chocolate Factory is the oldest in Germany). After a day of touring the two cities, you'll enjoy an early light dinner (included), consisting of a Döner Kebab. It is a heavily Germanized Turkish food, and Halle has some of the best Döner in Germany.

After dinner, you will travel approximately 30 minutes to the village of Wünsch. There, you will check into your room at the Wünsch Landhof, which is one of the largest straw bale houses in Germany. On the premises is the Wünsch village oven, where bread is made fresh. There is also a smokehouse and a shoemaker’s workshop to view.

You will enjoy a campfire (weather permitting) snack of fresh loaves of bread, grilled brats, grilled chicken & vegetables served with beer and local wine.

Day 4: Berlin, Germany

You will enjoy a breakfast of freshly baked loaves of bread, meats, jams, and local honey. You will then travel approximately ­­­2 hours to the city of Berlin. Your city tour will be a 2.5-hour walking tour led by an experienced guide, covering the city's main sights. You will see The Pariser Platz, The Brandenburg Gate (the original gate for Berlin's City Wall), The Berlin Wall (over 1 km extended, longest standing portion), The Royal Guard House, Luftwaffe Headquarters, The Former SS Headquarters, the Checkpoint Charlie (most famous of the original three Berlin Wall checkpoints), The Holocaust Memorial, Gendarmenmarkt, The Berliner Dom, The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, and multiple other well known historical places in Berlin.

After a day of touring the city, you will have dinner in a local German tavern. After dinner, you will have your free time to relax or go out for drinks at one of the local German pubs.

*Children under the age of 12 are required to share a room with an accompanying adult. There is a maximum of two children per adult.

Day 5: Hamburg, Germany

After breakfast in Berlin, you will travel approximately 3 hours to Hamburg. Your city tour will be a 3-hour walking tour with an experienced guide that covers all the main sights of the city, including. You will see Hamburg’s magnificent Town Hall (The Rathaus), St. Petri Church, St. Jacobi Church, St. Nikolai Church (WWII ruins), Trostbrücke (heart of medieval Hamburg), and walk down Deichstrasse (origin of the Great Fire of 1842). You will also go to the Miniatur Wunderland (the world’s largest model railway) and walk through the Alter Elbtunnel. You will then take a short drive to the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial, where the ruins are of one of Nazi Germany’s largest concentration camps. After a day of touring the city, you will have dinner in a local German restaurant.

After dinner, you will relax and have a few drinks at Planten un Blomen, a beautiful park that, in the summer, features a light, water, and music show (weather permitting).

Day 6: Düsseldorf, Germany

After breakfast in Hamburg, you will travel for approximately 4 hours to Düsseldorf. You will have a 3-4 hour boat sightseeing tour. The boat will depart from Düsseldorf, travel south down the Rhine River to Cologne, and return. While on board, all drinks are free! (The offer includes all drinks on board during the ride time, beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa - excluded are spirits, cocktails, and Champagne). After a day of touring on the Rhine River, you will have dinner in a local German Pub.

After dinner, you will have free time to relax or walk down one of the many cobblestone streets of Düsseldorf.

Day 7: Cologne, Germany

After breakfast, you will travel approximately 35 minutes to the city of Cologne. You will begin your walking tour in the area around the Cologne Cathedral and the Old Town. Many sights are concentrated within a one-square-kilometer area, including the Cathedral, the town hall, and the old town, with the Romanesque church of Gross St. Martin. You can take a look at The Praetorium (the official residence of the Imperial Governor), which dates back to the birth of Christ, and The Mikveh (the Jewish ritual bath). You will have the opportunity to shop at Alter Markt Square or Heumarkt. You will take a walk across Hohenzollern Bridge, where, since 2008, padlocks have adorned a fence on the bridge, affixed by couples as a sign of love and commitment. You will go to the top of the Köln Triangle (the tallest building in Cologne) for spectacular panoramic views. You will end your tour in the Botanical Gardens Flora, which dates back to 1800. After a day of touring the city, you will have dinner in a local German Pub.

After dinner, you will have free time to relax or go out for dessert in one of the many bakeries.

Day 8: Frankfurt, Germany

After breakfast in Cologne, you will travel approximately 2 hours to the city of Frankfurt, where you will check into your hotel. You will take a walking tour through the historical city of Frankfurt with an experienced guide. The walking tour will include The Roemer (City Hall since 1405) and the Roemerplatz, Alte Nikolai Church, St Bartholomew (better known as the Kaiserdom), Jewish Holocaust Memorial Wall, Medieval Jewish Cemetery, Hauptwache, Eschenheimer Turm, Alte Oper (old opera house), and more hidden gems of Frankfurt. You will venture up the Main Tower, with 56 floors and 200 meters high (656 ft), and you will get a 360º view of the city. Don’t worry; there is an elevator that takes you to the top! After a day of touring the city, you will have dinner (included) at Im Herzen Afrikas, a unique African restaurant that is currently ranked 5 out of 2,137 places to eat in Frankfurt.

After dinner, you will have your free time to relax or go out for drinks at one of the local German pubs.

Day 9: Munich, Germany

After breakfast in Frankfurt, you will leave and head back to Munich, approximately 3.5 hours away. You will take a 3-hour walking tour through the historical city of Munich. With your experienced guide, you will see top landmarks and discover the stories behind incredible sights, such as the Glockenspiel, the Hofbräuhaus (the world’s most famous beer hall), Frauenkirche, Viktualienmarkt (a famous outdoor market), and the Royal Residence. You also see the New and Old Town Hall, the National Theater, the Feldherrnhalle (Memorial to Bavarian Generals), St. Jakobsplatz, and the Church of St. Peter. You will learn the real origins of Oktoberfest and the history of beer gardens in Germany. After a day of touring the city, you will have a farewell dinner at the world-famous Hofbräuhaus.

Then, after dinner, you will have your free time to relax or go out for drinks at one of the local German pubs.

Day 10: Departure from Munich, Germany

After breakfast at your hotel in Munich, we will be happy to take you to the airport for your departure, or you can continue your vacation in Germany.
